Q: What will the physiotherapists do?

A: Our therapists will take a detailed history and then perform a thorough assessment. Based on the findings, they will devise an appropriate rehabilitation plan for you personally. Treatment will begin on your first visit. This could include manual therapy, therapeutic modalities, acupuncture and exercise.

Q. What do I need to bring with me?

A: We asked our patients to bring comfortable clothing that is appropriate for assessing the injury, such as shorts and a sleeveless top. If you forget to bring a change of clothes we have gowns and shorts at the clinic. We also request that you arrive "fragrance free" for the comfort of our therapists and other clients.

Q: How quickly will I get an appointment?

A:This is dependent on the time of day you can come. Mid-day appointments are usually available within 1-2 days. Evening appointments after 5pm may take longer due to high demand. We will make every effort to accommodate urgent cases.

Q: How long are the sessions?

A: This depends on the type of injury and type of treatment you require, but expect to be in the clinic for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Clients with complex issues are often in the clinic for longer.

Q. Do I need a doctor's referral?

A. You do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist, however some insurance plans require one prior to reimbursement. You should check with the details of you individual plan.

Q: My doctor referred me to another clinic. Can I still come to Physio Plus?

A: Yes, you can choose to attend any clinic you want. You should choose your provider based on their expertise, experience and reputation.

Q: Will my insurance cover my treatment?

A: Most health care plans cover all or a portion of our services. We offer the added convenience of billing most insurance plans directly.

Q: Does OHIP pay from treatment?

A: Physio Plus is not an OHIP funded clinic. Beginning April 2005, OHIP only covers physiotherapy treatments for people aged 19 & under & 65 & over at Designated Physiotherapy Clinics. You may have coverage through other sources such as extended health care benefits, motor vehicle accident insurance, Workplace safety or Veteran's Affairs.

Q: What form of payment do you accept?

A: We accept cash, visa, debit and mastercard.

Q:Is your facility wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes our clinic is fully accessible. We are also compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
